Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance

Working to restore and protect the Badger Army Ammunition Plant lands, promoting prairie and oak savanna restoration while fostering community involvement and conservation education.

Sauk Prairie Conservation Alliance is dedicated to restoring and protecting the lands of the former Badger Army Ammunition Plant in Wisconsin. Guided by the Badger Reuse Plan, the Alliance focuses on prairie and oak savanna restoration, providing critical habitats for wildlife and offering opportunities for quiet recreation. Through extensive volunteer efforts, the Alliance works to heal and conserve these unique lands, fostering public education, community engagement, and ecological research. Their holistic approach serves as a model for large-scale conservation, integrating land protection, ecological restoration, conservation agriculture, and public involvement to promote a sustainable future for the region.
